Yes.  That way, the brake light wiring can be protected by the same fuse
that covers the turn signals, wiper motor, etc (all of which only operate
when the key is on).

It also reduces the chances of a dead battery, if the brake light switch
should happen to get stuck on for some reason.  (Never seen it on a Triumph,
but it did happen to a non-LBC that I owned).
