[TR] Easiest Way

When I removed the timing cover oil seal the last time, the engine was out of the car and the cover off the engine.  

This time, radiator removed, apron removed, all that, what's the easiest way to get the seal out without damaging the cover.  Apply a tiny bit of heat, maybe tap on one side with a brass punch?  ...Or insert a small allen wrench and tug forward using vise grips?
