Note however, that there is at least one other switch that looks very
similar, but has different internal logic.

In fact, if anyone happens to find a Lucas 39257 switch (Stanpart 151243), I
will be glad to trade a working 34317 (or equivalent) for it.  AFAIK, the
39257 was used only on air conditioned Stags.
