[TR] TR4A parking brake question

Folks, a friend with a TR4A is asking the question, when did they switch 
from the fly-off to the push-to-release style handle?  He is asking because 
two cars with which he is familiar each have different styles and the 
confusing part is the later commission number has the fly-off and the earlier one 
has the push-to-release style.

My exposure to TR4A's is very limited.
