You noticed that eh?  ;)   I can't remember if I saw the oil coming out or not, certainly new oil appeared from
somewhere in the top end.  I had it running with the cover off for a while but for the most part I had the cover in
place while running then took it off to inspect after the car was shut off (keeps less oil on the fenders, rad, hair,
glasses etc..).

Where is the screw located?

So you're not a fan?  ;)   Just figured if the trouble was in the shaft it might not pay to put 45yo springs back in,
not expecting any performance improvement per say.
