It may have changed, but I've had good service from the "Hansen" set I got
from Ace Hardware over 30 years ago.

So are you saying their taps & dies have not followed the general trend of
their other tools?  They used to be good stuff, but quality has dropped
markedly in the last 20 year or so.

BTW, the set I got from Harbor Freight actually cuts threads the wrong size.
A definite thumbs-down.
