It's easy to get 'em apart with THE BLUE WRENCH.

My fix for preventing all this stuff is metal flange joints everywhere. 
Using clamps on TR6 exhaust system is asking for trouble 'cause there's a 
lot of jobs that start with "remove muffler" or "remove intermediate 
pipe".
