Thanks, Ron.

Just for general info, please see this photo of my 64 K Code Fairlane. I installed mine under the bolt as you can see.

Not relevant to Tigers, but maybe of interest -

Regards,

Don

Donald

That is correct for the stock Ford engine.

The Tiger engine has a different temp sender location.

Tiger engines generally have the Ford engine tag mounted under a separate bolt on the intake manifold.

Yes, I recall Bob Mannel also saying it was installed under the Temp sensor.

My bad

The Ford engine tag is normally located somewhere on the intake manifold.

Mine was under a separate bolt in front of the carb.

Some are located with the coil bracket.

The location varies.

It is a small aluminum tag – 2.5” x .7”

Original Tiger engine study

I’m looking for pictures these Ford engine tags on Tiger engines, they are important.

I received 1 picture for the E7KL engine group which could mean every Tiger engine group has them, let’s see if we can find out.

Through the Tiger engine builds, the Cu. In., Change Level, Assembly date code and the Ford engine Code number all change.

I hope to document and understand all those changes with your help.

Please relate any Ford engine tag picture to the engine # on the valve cover sticker or Vin plate, pictures of all these are welcome.
