[Tigers] Cooling Fan

Hi Joe:

Semi-unrelated answer:  Have you thought about fabricating a fiberglass
full fan shroud?  Also, cudgeling my memory, I seem to recall that the
Tiger tended to suck hot air from the engine compartment forward,
creating a hot-air loop back through the radiator.  Don't know if the
full fan shroud would prevent this, but I was reading a book by Dennis
Ortenburger about Frank Costin, who often used fully ducted radiators in
his designs.  I apologize that I've no idea how to accomplish that
ducting on a Tiger, though I suspect one or both of the solutions would
benefit the Tiger's cooling at low speeds.

If it isn't too much trouble, would you please keep us updated with your
solutions and their effectiveness?  My Tiger is long gone, but my
interest remains. 😁

Good luck to you and Best Regards

David Sosna
