Jim

I’m using a wing nut and it seems to have clearance.

I’m just looking to verify original parts.

Anyone have know they have original parts?

Ron,

I do not know if the washer is original. I'm sure it isn't, since the parts book states 1/2". Maybe an original owner can verify. Guess a wing nut wasn't used for clearance reasons.

Jim

                Thank you for the picture.

The washer appears to have an OD of ¾”.

Is that correct?

Do you know for sure that is the original washer?

I ask because the Parts List indicates that washer is ½” OD.

Should have sent this to the list, but didn't reply all.

As far as I know these are original from my MKIA. I bought the car in 1977. The nut on the stud are one piece. Sure the stud is original. But not sure if the air cleaner nut and washer are.

I don’t know. But I do know that when I first got the Tiger, with stock air cleaner, but Holley carb, I overtightened the air cleaner nut. This caused the top to bow, and hit air intake tubes in the carbs. The car ran, but not well. It took a while, but I was sure glad when I solved that one. I don’t know if the stock carb doesn’t have this problem, or if the modified parts prevent this from happening. But, I thought I’d mention it in case it helps make sure the fit is right.

9067015 Washer, ¼” plain ¼” x ½” OD 16-gauge steel

Also looking for the length of the stud.

The stud I have is 3.78” long.

I originally thought the stud was a modified Ford part but looking at the stud it looks formed to this length not cut.

There is no Ford part # associated with the air cleaner stud part only the Rootes # - made me curious.

Thanks
