Ron,I do not know if the washer is original.  I'm sure it isn't,  since the parts book states 1/2".  Maybe an original owner can verify.  Guess a wing nut wasn't used for clearance reasons.Sent from my Galaxy

Sure the stud is original. But not sure if the air cleaner nut and washer are. Jim D   Sent from my Galaxy  -------- Original message --------From: jimdamelio <jimdamelio at verizon.net> Date: 1/21/21 4:26 PM (GMT-05:00) To: Jay <jay.laifman at gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Tigers] air cleaner stud      Sent from my Galaxy  -------- Original message --------From: Jay <jay.laifman at gmail.com> Date: 1/21/21 3:20 PM (GMT-05:00) To: Ron Fraser <rfraser at bluefrog.com> Cc: Tigers <tigers at Autox.Team.Net> Subject: Re: [Tigers] air cleaner stud  I don’t know.  But I do know that when I first got the Tiger, with stock air cleaner, but Holley carb, I overtightened the air cleaner nut.  This caused the top to bow, and hit air intake tubes in the carbs.  The car ran, but not well.  It took a while, but I was sure glad when I solved that one.  I don’t know if the stock carb doesn’t have this problem, or if the modified parts prevent this from happening.  But, I thought I’d mention it in case it helps make sure the fit is right. On Jan 21, 2021, at 11:48 AM, Ron Fraser <rfraser at bluefrog.com> wrote: Anyone have pictures of these original stock parts? 1224657                Stud – air cleaner9550040                Nut – ¼” UNC9067015                Washer, ¼” plain              ¼” x ½” OD          16-gauge steel Also looking for the length of the stud. The stud I have is 3.78” long. I originally thought the stud was a modified Ford part but looking at the stud it looks formed to this length not cut. There is no Ford part # associated with the air cleaner stud part only the Rootes # - made me curious. ThanksTo all – stay well, stay safe Ron Fraser_______________________________________________tigers at autoxteam.netDonatehttp://www.team.net/donate.htmlArchive: http://www.team.net/pipermail/tigers http://autoxteam.net/archiveUnsubscribe: http://autoxteam.net/mailman/options/tigers/jay.laifman@gmail.com
