Ron,I do not know if the washer is original.  I'm sure it isn't,  since the parts book states 1/2".  Maybe an original owner can verify.  Guess a wing nut wasn't used for clearance reasons.Sent from my Galaxy

As far as I know these are original from my MKIA.  I bought the car in 1977.  The nut on the stud are one piece. Sure the stud is original. But not sure if the air cleaner nut and washer are. But I do know that when I first got the Tiger, with stock air cleaner, but Holley carb, I overtightened the air cleaner nut.  This caused the top to bow, and hit air intake tubes in the carbs.  The car ran, but not well.  It took a while, but I was sure glad when I solved that one.  I don’t know if the stock carb doesn’t have this problem, or if the modified parts prevent this from happening.  But, I thought I’d mention it in case it helps make sure the fit is right.
