I run Centerforce clutches in my cars, a Centerforce I in the 289 car and a
Centerforce II in the stroker 331 car. Both are lighter pedal pressure than
a stock clutch and are pretty much indestructible.

Ah, no.  That was not my point.  One of the commenters was saying that he could easily buy a Monterey race ready Tiger for half of the current bid.  It seemed he was questioning whether the extra cost is worth it for this car?s history.

Apologies.

I agree with you.  No way!!  Not sure you could by a tiger that would be worth racing for $55k

I haven't seen this mentioned here.  So I thought I'd bring it up:

I note that one of the commenters says that for $55,000 someone can buy a Monterey race ready Tiger.  I know that some race cars from 60s sports cars are less than their high end car show brothers.  But $55?

We're restoring a 1962 Elva MkVI right now with full sights on Monterey.  So both historically accurate, immaculate as can be, but 100% full race ready - every part as strong and straight as should be.  I find it hard to believe a Tiger in comparable condition would be $55,000.
