Along those same lines, I have a Carter AFB Competition (625 cfm) that is essentially the same as the Edelbrock carb on a warmed over 302- very smooth delivery. However, if you auto-x you may want a different carb. Kirk

Russ;
I have an Edlebrock 600cfm on my Stroker 331 and it works very well. Good idle, smooth transition through the tuning stages, and relatively good fuel economy.
Also easier to tune than the Holley IMHO. (I don't think it makes any difference stroker or big bore). More dependent on the other specs like cam profile, C.R. valve rocker ratios, forced Induction, etc. And how you plan to use your car. ( Autocross or just crusin'!)
I will be interested to see the other recommendations....
Dave

What holley would be best for my 331 (not stroker) ford 302. ? Is there a cross between economy and performance? Thank you. rtscolgan at yahoo.com
