It may not apply to all Fastenal locations but the rather blunt sign on the door at the one near me (Simi Valley, CA.) basically implies ‘if you aren’t spending $50 don’t bother coming in.’

Should have been more specific: try Fastenall as a source; there also used to be another outfit called All Stainless that I used to buy from years ago -- good quality and carried MIL-SPEC hardware.
Good luck.

Another source that should not be overlooked is ARP fasteners. I suspect that they have something that will work well. Google them up and send then a question and maybe you will have the best there is in short order!

Search suppliers of MIL-SPEC stainless hardware that you need and only purchase to that standard. Never buy Chinese!!!

Common stainless bolts are approximately equivalent to cheese. Maybe try these guys? http://lightningboltandsupply.com/stainless-steel.html
What I would do is to use quality regular grade 8 fasteners, and find a high temperature clearcoat or silver for the whole assembly.
Cheers,

Hello there,
Anybody know of a good source of replacement bolts made of grade 8 stainless
that will hold the two halves of a rebuilt brake caliper together?
Trying to eliminate any rust.
