[Tigers] Mk II engine color

Hi Ron - I have a Mk 2 with an unrestored engine bay.  I checked the colors, and both the hangers and engine block are kind of an grimy black/brown.  I think what you wanted to know are the colors under the grime.  After some cleaning, the engine hangers have a few flecks of black paint; I can't be sure but the paint looks like it might be glossy.  The engine block looks like the standard Ford blue.  Definitely not a dark blue or a light blue.  I can sent you a pic if you are interested.- Randy

TBON states  - Engine Block – Old Ford Dark Blue                                Motor Hangers – Black                  What color is an original Mk II 289 engine and are the motor hangers black?  My notes on this seem to indicate the darkest Ford blue – Duplicolor 1606  Thanks Ron Fraser  Also let me include here that I’m always looking for more information about Original Tiger Engines; all the engine groups, especially the early B19KC engines painted black.
