[Tigers] Thermostat housing

Over the years I have had two corrode away . I installed a zinc anode radiator cap and zinc anode in the radiator drain and it stopped the problem. Somehow there must be a small electrical current running through the motor and eating away the cheap pot metal on the housing.

Is there anything special about the Tiger thermostat housing?  Mine seems to have developed a hole through the metal right on top - spraying all over the place.  And yes, it appear to be coming straight out of the metal, not the hose.
