Over the years I have had two corrode away . I installed a zinc anode radiator cap and zinc anode in the radiator drain and it stopped the problem. Somehow there must be a small electrical current running through the motor and eating away the cheap pot metal

 on the housing.<br>

Is there anything special about the Tiger thermostat housing?  Mine seems to have developed a hole through the metal right on top - spraying all over the place.  And yes, it appear to be coming straight out of the metal, not the hose.<br>
