[Tigers] ideal toploader gears for a Tiger

Jim, I run the wide ratio and even steeper 2.72:1 rear end on the 331
stoker car and it's great with a 24" diameter tire. It cruises at 80
comfortably and still smokes both tires at stoplights. Of course that car
has almost 400 lb-ft of torque so it pulls more like a big block, I can
attack Ohio Rt 555 pretty much all in third gear.

I still have the close ratio and a 3.31:1 on my 289 car and that combo
works well for its high spinning engine. It's really busy on the freeway
but the close ratio is a lot more fun in the twisties.

Getting a Tiger off the line is a lot easier with the wide ratio assuming
stock rear end and mild engine. Ask the Mk II guys.
