[Tigers] 260 for the 21 century

Hello listers,

I'm one of those folks who appreciates originality.

I wanted my Tiger's 260 to meet the originality test while meeting my
power demands.

Alas, I didn't have the savvy to make that happen.

For cruising, a stock 260 isn't a bad choice but for performance...cubes
mater.

So my stock engine went onto a stand and was replaced with a 5 bolt 289
amended with a
302 rotating assembly... a 5 bolt 302 so to speak, making an acceptable
263 RWHP and comparable torque.

Visually, few people question the difference although the aluminum heads
do spark questions.

I remain interested in the 260 engine - especially the 245 horsepower
version advertised in period Tiger literature.
