Hi All,
Sorry guys I hit send by accident before typing in the text...
I own 0033 which has its original BW T-10 and short shifter. I must admit I
have missed 3rd gear on more than one occasion...and I am 6'5". Not sure I
would do any better with a long shifter...just sayin'.

As far as I am concerned, there was no advantage to having the short
shifter, other than the fact that it looked more "Cobra-ish." The short
shifter made third gear a fairly uncomfortable reach for most drivers.
There's definitely a reason that Rootes went to the longer shifters...

Although short top-loader shifters are very rare, is there any significant
advantage to using a short shifter in the Tiger? A short shifter sold on
e-pay for $422.99 this week. Seems that some resourceful individual might
be able to shorten a $50 Mustang example and re-weld the internal rod and
external tube to make a short shifter for a lot less than $422. Anyone know
of that being done before?
