Hi Denis,

Probably if you have any measurable clearance at the hold-down nut and stud you will be okay.

But in my experience there is another more critical clearance point with the stock cleaner. The motor will rock at least a little bit in its motor mounts under hard acceleration, causing the drivers side (LHD) to rotate up and potentially hit the hood. I had contact marks on the air clearner lid and hood from that happening. It was on the outer edge of the cleaner about half way around the curve at the front This was with a LAT hood that has a bit more clearance than the stock hood. Anyway, I recommend checking the clearance in that area as well. I do not have a recommendation on how much clearance is enough.

BTW, what 1.75 inch element are you using?

Hi Guys !
I just install a new air filter 1.75 thick on my Tiger air cleaner. The
previous air filter was 1.5 thick. With the new filter the distance between
the nut that hold the
air cleaner and the hood is =( inch. Is that space is ok ? I don't want the
air cleaner hit the hood !
Thanks !
Denis.
