Wow,
I am impressed regarding all the discrete knowledge that exists within our
group and the very valuable to have all the added information and stories of
running around in Tigers. Maybe there is a book somewhere in there. Thanks
a million, you guys are awesome!!!

Jim
No problem. We all get confused at times. This is how we eliminate
confusion and learn at the same time.

Ron,
Last e-mail on this. Boy am I embarrassed the right side tank has no vent
it goes directly to the goose neck, so sorry I was confused. Jim

Jim
What I see in the Alpine Part List is the hose connects to the Left
side tank nipple then over to just the filler neck vent. I don't recall any
other connection for this hose.

Ron,
You are correct; I have installed a length of breather hose between the 2
wing tanks. Does the little vent hose on the side of the fuel cap goose
neck also connect to these? Jim

Jim
This is listed in the Alpine Parts List Section UA - #19 breather
pipe - #20 Clip - 2.

There is a nipple on the other side tank that the breather tube attaches.

Offhand, I don't know the size of the hose, possibly 3/8", or how long.

The hose runs between the metal framing where the trunk hinges mount.

Good Morning all:

I am putting my car together and it runs, wow. The fuel cap filler neck has
a vent that points towards the front of the car. My question is what does
this connect to or is it open, which doesn't make any sense. I cannot find
any details in the either the parts books or either service manual, (Alpine
or Tiger). Any help would be appreciated.

Jim
