[Tigers] Air cleaner & horsepower

I find the air cleaner not an interesting topic. I paid $600 for mine. I
paid $4000 to buy my tiger. The stock air cleaner provides enough clean air
to satisfy my 360 cfm Holley 4 barrel on my 260. I run nothing but paper
filters. gary Moore, B9472283 tac 311.

IMHO, given that 1) zero surface area and 2) zero restriction, it is a
benchmark for THAT engine at THAT time with THOSE Existing jets and
adjustments.

Once you start changing things, everything changes, which is why,
smart crew chiefs, drivers and enthusiasts, eventually learn to make
changes, one item at a time
to effectively find the best combination available.

It is a tedious process to be sure.

But running no air filter at all, well that makes the owner a bit of
an idiot, IMHO
