The number I spoke of was compiled from the various state records. Who knows? A large percentage are probably converts by now.

What I meant by saying I found entries back to '75 on the registry was.

I believe that the entry dates are the 'last' time Norm heard from an owner
of a particular vin# car . so if an owner contacted him then and he never
heard anything more. that would be the entry date . but. if a particular car
has sold many times and some or all of the new owners have contacted him
over the years then the date of the 'last' contact for that vin# would be
listed.

I have a friend who bought his 'restorable' Tiger back in 2000 and it's date
is listed as 8/00 in the registry. if I ever talk him into selling it to me,
and contact Norm. it will then be listed with a ( possibly ) new
city/state/prov./country and entry date. maybe 01/11 ?? ;)

I think the 3947 number is how many cars have crossed Norm's path ( and
George Fallehy's ) since the registry was started. some of those may have
turned to dust by now ( one way or another ) and of course there are
probably many who own Tigers and don't know the registry exists. I know I've
met several and encouraged them to send in their info including a fellow who
owned PH650040 !

Since the 70's I'm sure that Norm has been contacted with many more. As
incomplete as the registry would have been in the 70's I'm surprised that it
would have shown 3000. Maybe the 3,000 was a guesstimate???

3947.... hmmm. There were supposed to be less than 3000 back in the 70's.
Things that make you say hmmmmmmm.
