I don't know about the Top Loader but I do know that theT-5 Five Speed  has 
very limited lubrication to the roller bearings under the gears when in  
being towed in neutral. I would assume the Top Loader is similar. I  would 
recommend removing the drive shaft at the differential and wiring it up  to the 
chassis or inserting a plug on the output shaft if you are going  to tow it 
more than 50 miles.
