Jim
The small bulb pulls straight out, it is a #194 type bulb and yes
they are difficult to grip and pull out.
I have no idea about the reflector. I do not have one handy to look at.

Why do you want to clean the ballast resistor?

The ballast resistor consists of a metal outer shell with mount location, a
ceramic part with a wire wound resistor assembly and spade connections. I
would not touch it other than to clean the mount hole area which is a ground
point.

I'm cleaning up the front turn signals. My god they are cruddy from the
dirt thrown off the tires! First question is how do you remove the small
bulb? Mine don't seem to want to budge and I don't want to break them. Do
they plug in, screw in, or rotate 90 degrees? Next question: does the large
bulb socket and reflector detach from the chromed body without prying it
apart? Looks like it was pounded together.

On to the ballast resistor. Will cleaning it soap and water or a degreaser
damage it? It looks pretty durable, but I hate learning the hard way.

Thanks. Tigger heads to the paint shop tomorrow. It is a mere shell of its
former self.
