There was an aold CAT tewch tip that suggested you could drill a  small
hole in the bell housing in order to grease a greasable throwout  bearing.
Prehaps to PO did that.  I'd just plug the hole to keep the dirrt  out.

early Fords with the same bell housing or is this one just made for the  
tiger?
