[Tigers] engine mount alignment

does anyone have any tricks for getting the engine into the right
place to bolt up the mounts?

i've just changed the mounts but the engine is sitting about 1/2" too
far back for the bolts to go through the mount into the block.
i don't seem to be able to budge it and there isn't and easy place to
insert a bottle jack between the engine and the frame.
