No it's a Lockheed  Saab rear backing plate.  Saab used the Spridget adjuster and wheel cylinders.   It's a mid 60's to end of production rear brake.  The Saab rear brake that preceeded the style in photo used a single piston sliding wheel cylinder like the  Bugeye rear brakes.Saab used Lockheed and later Girling hydraulics.   Thankfully Moss carries the bits & pieces that fit the Saabs!  ChuckJust when you thought you had the rat race won....along came faster rats!

Well Chuck, that doesn't look like the 8 inch rear drum back plate I brought across the pond in my hand luggage in 2003.

Right now I may be unavailable until sunday some time.I have double & bubble flaring tools plus line.  Also I have some nice used and new tube nuts too.The caliper sounds like the seal rolled and is locking up the piston.   I have seal kits here and might have 1 or 2 new pistons.   Oh God!  I sound like a freaking parts store! If you want to bring up the offending caliper and the tube , we can bend a new tube and pop the calipers piston to see what it thinks is going on.  I know you are not right next door!   But it's the best I can offer from my vantage point.Funny it's brakes!Just changed 2 loaded rear brake assemblies on my 61 Saab project this evening.  I need to make the 2 lines for across my rear axle some time soon...Chuck ------------------------
