And then there's the state of Missouri that require only a front plate for
trucks.

I've never understood that one.

On the discussion of "vanity" plates, my favorites are the failures - where
the owner sees one thing but others read it quite differently.

We have a woman that drives a red New Beetle convertible around here with a
plate that I'm sure she thinks says "BLOSSOM 1" - but I'm not so sure...
Her plate is "BLOSOM 1"
