[Spridgets] 60th Anniversay Spridget Events

The Blackhawk event for vscda is a 3 day event, June 15-17. The club also has a 5th event at Blackhawk Farms, Oct 13, 14.  I chair both events and we plan to have Spridget races at both, along with British Car shows.

We are already getting lots of inquiries and ready to release an article to Victory Lane about US Spridget Racing to focus more attention on this important 60th Anniversary for Spridgets and plans for the ELVF (Car shows at the Track and Elkhart Lake.  Special Street Touring at Road America and Elkhart Lake Recreation along with parking in the paddock right across from all the racing Spridgets.  We will be recognizing earlier SCCA Spridget Racers and of course our own exclusive Spridget Race preceded by Street Sprites Touring).  We have some very special historical racers that will also be there with a great Banquet & Road & Track's entertaining Peter Egan as Speaker.  I think 30 + racing Spridgets is very doable!”….

> The Put In Bay organizers have selected the Bugeye Sprite as the featured marque, which makes for a unique celebration. Spridgets also are included. They have bumped the 2018 event to later in September, which is a change from their traditional mid-week before Labor Day Weekend.  This is a really cool event that is more than just a race weekend with lots of unique things to do.  Additional details will be provided on this event as it gets firmer.
