[Spridgets] Tie Rod Removal

My Bugeye only has 7,000 miles on it since the restoration in 2000.  I wanted to save the tie rod ends since they are still in good shape.  Besides, I am also restoring a BN2 at the moment, so most of my cash is going in that direction.  Mike MacLean

I have one too.  It works great.  Some people shouldn't be allowed to use tools.  :-)

But it doesn't do any damage to the parts and you can use it more than once.  $22 - IMHO worth it just for the ease of doing the job.
My little brother (Nascar mechanic) has a brazillion dollars worth of Snap-On tools.   He says the guy that dies with the most tools wins.  He also says about Snap-On "you can buy better, but you can't pay more".   :-)

Anyone know a source for a tie rod removal too that fits the small Bugeye steering arm?  I don't want to use a pickle fork if I can help it, even if I had one small enough, because I am trying to do this without tearing the tie rod boot.  I tried just beating on the arm with a small sledge with no result.Mike MacLean
