[Spridgets] Bonnet locating pins

Michael,

Is this on the Holy Sprite? I have heard that Frank used to drill holes in
the hinge mounting flange and drive in roll pins to help make locating the
hood/bonnet quicker and easier when it was needed to be removed. I wonder
if that is what you're dealing with.

We had an awful time getting the bonnet locating pins in the tiny holes on
the hinges, even with four people, but they finally dropped in. Now one
side of the bonnet is too far forward, and it feels like the pins are
preventing the necessary adjustment. I don't remember if it was that way
before. I suspect that a lot of bonnets have long since lost those pins to
bending, anyway.

Any thoughts on the value of those pins for a well-aged bonnet?
