[Spridgets] Dielectric grease when and where to use it.

I was reading another forum and a suggestion was made to a driver to use
dielectric grease. I've heard of it and wanted to know more. As it appears
it keeps water out and better contact? Is this what we would use to reduce
oxidation? Can it be applied to metal?

I looked at this youtube and it appears it is only to be uses on the rubber
areas to prevent water from entering and for easy removal. But then I read
a searched boat forum and another guy seems to use it everywhere. I'm very
confused now and this group is the only one I trust ....wink

This guy named Wobble 2nd to last post states this:
"I use it on all connectors, battery terminals, ab switches etc.

I have also been putting some in the end of crimp type connectors before
putting the wire in. Not as good as soldering and shrink wrap, but haven't
had problems with this method either.

Thanks formula 31, I will be inspecting my trim sender/limit switches and
filling them with it also this winter.
