[Spridgets] help with early hardtop question

Alan, I'll check my MKI hardtop tonight, The MKII has a narrower rear clip
spacing which is a little bit farther from the windscreen. My MKI hardtop fits
on the MKII but sits ON the rear clips, where on the MKI it sits behind the
rear clips. I believe that they look the same (BMC tops, that is). My MKI top
has no attachments for the rear clips either, just the J bolt hold downs. I
know this doesn't help a lot as you don't have the hardtop in hand. My .02!

I have located a early MK1 or MK2 hardtop and have had photos sent to me

It has the Triplex rear glass in it with information on a logo

AS2
Triplex
three XXX in a triangle below the word Triplex
and the word ..toughened ..below the 3 Xbs
with the twin ice cream cones below that


I have photos of the top and the markings on the glass and am trying to
determine if it is a Mk1 or MK2 Sprite top


Any help appreciated
