[Spridgets] What fluid for clutch master cylinder?

I have an approximate annual brake fluid change on my Sprite irrespective  
of mileage.  I think the handbook might recommend bi-annual though that's  
with DOT 3 rather than the DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 I use.
 
I hope no-one has brake fluid more than 3 years older in their car.
