Of course most of us "Yanks" are old enough to have either read Brickhill's
book or to have seen the famous 1955 film "Dam Busters".  Additionally many
of us do know who Barnes Wallis was and that he was known for his geodetic
construction designs like the Wellington Bomber in addition to the rotating
bomb used on the Ruhr dams.
