My other commuter car, a 2004 Honda Civic EX was recently damaged by hail.  
It has at least 400 dents all over it!  My insurance company had no problem
covering it for the $500 deductible, but I had to go to their body shop of
choice.  If I went to a shop that I chose, it would have cost me more than the
deductible I was told.  Not sure of the legality of this, but I am sure they
have done their legal homework so they can get away with it.  Luckily, it is a
good body shop, so I have no complaints, but I have not got the car back yet
either.
