would that engine stiffener/torsion bar seen on those race prepped cars have an effect on std road engines ie keeping them from twisting or shaking at low idle or fast starts?

Those guys raise the bar for all of us. I love what they've done and must step
up my game. Derek's Ginetta G4 is amazing. You don't see very many cars
prepped to the 1973 rules though, do you?

Small world - as I was showing Larry and Dave yesterday, Derek's Bauchman
cylinder head is sitting on my workbench - I bought it last Fall. I believe
the Weber carb is my old one - I traded it for his full-prep SUs. Derek's
brother Craig has the nicest prepped cars I have ever seen, SCCA or vintage.
