The carbon thrust bearings should be different but often aren't and Moss or 
 whoever sell you the only bearing they have.

The throw isn't different until you throw it.
You're  setup should be fine, but use the 1275 slave for better pedal 
feel. Best  is to run a 1/4" pipe back to the master and adapt to the 
3/8" fitting  there.
