  Not true! Cars are strange critters who go into a complete panic if 
something in their environment changes. Lin's best bet is to place her 
trap in the nice lady's yard, put in kitty's favorite canned food, and 
leave a few extra cans with the lady. Most cats like chicken. Try going 
to the local deli and putting a freshly cooked thigh in the first night 
or two. A cat's jaws aren't powerful enough to splinter the bones like a 
dog's would.  Possibly you can make arrangements for her care if she 
should be captured. I would recommend a boarding kennel or a vet, as she 
would be less likely to escape. A vet could give her a mild sedative, of 
necessary, to ease her stress.
