Ron,
You could BE a driving instructor there. Just give up the day job, or at
least take a sabbatical during race season.

I think there is a mistaken impression that Sprites or Sridgets are not as
welcome in the Healey and possibly MG clubs as their bigger brothers (or
sisters, whatever). As David said, our local Healey club has more than
adequate representation of Sprites and Spridgets.

President-2 Bugeyes, Membership Director, his son-2 Bugeyes, one Sqaure
body, Driving Events chairman-v.fast Modified Bugeye, Newsletter
Editor-Bugeye, Recording Sec'y-Bugeye Founding AHCA member-Bugeye owner
from 50's,
Founding AHCA member-former Bugeye owner, Myself-2 Bugeye project cars,
one active

There are over 30 Spridgets in our local club from a total of about 110
members. Lately, at our gymkhanas, we have almost equal representation of
all sizes of Healeys and a fair number of Spridgets from the British Car
Union. There never has been a bias of one Healey model over another in our
club. The Australians don't let the Big Healey and the Sprite Clubs mix and
most of us here have never understood that policy. Maybe it is because they
view the world upside down.

I extend the invitation, to all that read this list (and that includes all
Spridgets), to join us in Galena, Illinois in July of this year for our
national meet,
Conclave 2010, hosted by the Midwest Region of the AHCA. Go to
http://www.austinhealeyconclave.com/ for full information about the fun
event we are planning. The track day at Blackhawk Farms follows our
week-long event on Friday the 16th.

We even think enough of the different car models that you can get a Spridget
on the logo for any regalia you may purchase. That is why you see a white
Bugeye on the track day logo, the Driving Events chairman has one.

If you don't get "Healey Marque", I will forward you more information that
was in the magazine. Many from our club plan to be at the Spridget event
next year in Elkhart Lake. We would enjoy having you join us this year.

All the best,

Neil Anderson
Conclave 2010, organizing committee
