OR...  use a drill bit the same size as the screw thread.  Start drilling into
the Posidriv head until you've removed enough metal so the screw head comes
off  Remove the door hinges and use whatever combination of heat, penetrating
oil and vice grips needed to take out the remaining stud.  You could also
double nut the stud if there's enough length left,

Yes.
Another trick I forgot is to use left-handed drill and drill bits when
drilling the hole. Sometimes this will grab and unscrew the bold/screw. The
bits are more expensive that regular bits. ...bill in oregon

Yeah, but all it takes is once to find out that the ez-out is tougher
than your drill bits. If you are going to drill for gold here, skip
the ez-out; drill a small hole down the center, then use the largest
bit the will fit inside the threads (assuming the pilot hole really is
centered, you might have to reduce the size of the second drill bit if
it is not), then pick out the debris. I would still use a Dremel to
cut a slot in the head and use the impact screwdriver on that before I
started drilling...
