But Michael, just think of the Mexicans you aren't subsidizing!!!

FWIW, I mow my lawn. If Trish wants it edged, she will have to do it.
I will not pay someone to do something I can do. I also have never
actually bought a mower. I doubt that I have spent enough on gas and
mower parts to cover one season of mowing ED's farm. Just got a "new"
mower last year (the free Craftsman I had been using for eight years
after the previous owner chucked it was getting tired). This one was
simply a matter of pushing it home, putting gas in the tank, checking
the oil and mowing the yard. I think the previous owner had succumbed
to ED's way of thinking.

I do kinda resent the space that my roto-tiller occupies in the shed.
After all, I only use it once a year to till up a plot about 10' by
20' (a LOT of clay, so I am not interested in doing it with my
eye-hoe). Neighbor down the block was throwing it away, I didn't have
one, now I do. The snowthrower doesn't fit in the shed. Old MTD
8hp/26" 2-stage that a neighbor on the other block threw out. Spent
$100 in parts, but it has plowed us and several blocks of neighbors
out of two Chicagoland winters so far.

Yes, I am the principal cook in the house and do most of the laundry.
If Trish wants the house cleaned, she does it herself though. I also
get to keep the fleet running. Had fun finding a "W" hose for the
auxiliary radiator in my GTi this week. Part# right on the old hose,
but the VW dealer could not find it in the database. Went to
O'Reilly's and one of my friends that works there took me into the
racks in back and let me browse til I found one. Their database
doesn't have it either, but it was hanging in the back; perfect match
other than the part number.

No, I am not retired, just tired. Autocross tomorrow at Maywood Park
in Melrose Park, IL. Anyone else coming?
