Mike, a few years ago, I had a truck shipped from New Zealand to the U.S. 
The whole truck was only $1600 and $200 of that was from the South Island to 
the North Island and with a switch to a different ship there.  The numbers 
you quote just for a bonnet seem pretty high.

I can look up the shipping agent for you, if you want.  Might be worth a 
try.

I just thought I'd throw this out to everyone and see if anybody has
experience shipping large items overseas.

I would like to ship a Midget bonnet to someone in Australia.  UPS and Fedex
quote between $550 and $900 to ship it.  Is there a reasonable way to do 
this
(under $100 or so), or is overseas shipping just out of the question for 
large
items?



Any insight would be appreciated.
