Earlier this month I finally finished the "12 year" maintenance and
upgrades so the bugeye was back on the road. Still have some small
carb adjusting to do but the car is running great. It's been on a few
local outings, great to be driving it once more. Then yesterday
needed to fill the gas tank so up the hill an into town. Just before
getting to the gas station went to stop and the pedal went to the
floor. With some pumping could make the brakes work well enough to
get into the station. While getting gas checked the master cylinder
reservoir and looked for leaks - no leaks, no loss of fluid - - -
hummm. After debating with myself decided to drive the car home an
hope the brakes would work well enough to get me slowed down enough
on the hill to get in to the garage - which they did.

So now the car goes back up in the air in order to rebuild all the
hydraulic system - have never believed in only doing one part of a
brake system, soon as you do something else will blow out.

Decided to take the Miata out to feel better and discovered someone
had put ding in the edge of a wheel well - - - so much for feeling
better and two new jobs to do.
