Since derf mentioned it, here is a partial list of race spares (Flounder and
others on the list can relate and certainly many many can dwarf this list at
the track). I've told a few people that if you drive a few hundred miles,
dress up in hat, gloves, 3 layers of underwear and a wool suit on the very
hottest day of the year, put a weed whacker motor up to your ear at full
throttle and tear up a bunch of hundred dollar bills, it's a lot like racing
a Sprite:

Straight cut close ratio BMC gearbox
Clutch(es)
Brake pads, rotors, drums, shoes
Brake lines
4.22, 4.55, 3.90 spare welded diffs
rocker assemblies
oil pan
spark plugs / wires / coil
distributor or 2 with points/caps/rotors
SU needles, floats
DCOE Weber just in case
belts with/without alternator
water pump
fuel pump
gasket set x 2
oil ($9 per quart!)
head gaskets, 2 or 3 at least
axle(s)
spindle(s)
hub
bushings
wheel bearing kit(s)
shocks
driveshaft
wheels/tires (rain and or practice)
full tool set
floor jack
jackstands
Canopy
etc., etc., etc.....
