Since derf mentioned it, here is a partial list of race spares (Flounder and others on the list can relate and certainly many many can dwarf this list at the track). I've told a few people that if you drive a few hundred miles, dress up in hat, gloves, 3 layers of underwear and a wool suit on the very hottest day of the year, put a weed whacker motor up to your ear at full throttle and tear up a bunch of hundred dollar bills, it's a lot like racing a Sprite:
