Those nuts are 7/16 x 20 (I think 20) 7/16 fine is what it is.
And no the DPO did not use nylocs in place of, the replacement kingpins 
come with nylocs where the originals used castellated nuts.
You can also just drill a 1/16 hole thru it all and install a cotter pin.
Do check your king pin, the later ones did not have a hole for the cotter.
