If you want to use the 1098 slave, you have to get a different hose.

This will probably seem silly, but, try removing the carpet and floor mat on 
the drivers side.  You will pick up another 1/8 of pedal travel.  On one 
car, I had to grind off part of the back of the clutch pedal where it hit 
the floor to gain more travel.

Super frustrating.  Been there many times.

Is the pushrod into the new master cylinder the same length as the one that 
came out?  If it is shorter, the clutch pedal will be closer to the floor 
than it was.

THIS WON'T WORK, AS THE LINE COMING INTO THE 1098 IS SMALLER THAN THE 1275 
FLEX LINE
